TURKEY HUNTER'S CARE PROGRAM  & GUN BASH 

Our Chapter will be raising the spirits of needy families in the community by taking part in a program started by the NWTF called Turkey Hunters Care Program, where we team up local church’s and food banks to provide frozen turkeys for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to needy families in Tri-State Area

We believe during the holidays “Family is the focus for many during the holiday season. We can help less fortunate families enjoy time with each other by eliminating some of their worries,”.

To help us raise the money needed to purchase the Frozen Turkeys, We host an annual Gun Bash, The Gun Bash is a mini version of our banquet that is solely based on Gun raffles. We will sale raffle tickets for a chance to win 1 of 18 with each ticket purchased a new winner is drawn every 20 mins. The night of the gun bash if you attend, games and raffles to win additional guns on top of the 15 being drawn along with 3 -$100 dollars drawings Food & drink will be available that’s included with your ticket, and a door prize pistol. We will offer new this year a cash option for each gun if you choose. No alcohol permitted.

Toys For Jakes & Golf Scramble

We are always looking for ways to help our community in a new way. After seeing a huge need in the area, we decided to raise the spirits of needy children in the community by providing Christmas Presents, to children that were identified by our local chapter committee members. The committee members obtained a wish and need list from the families. Then the committee members shopped for their children, wrapped the presents to be placed under their Christmas tree to open on Christmas Morning. We also was help out a few local organizations by donating making  momentary donations to three separate organizations that already help local children during Christmas: Backpack Buddies, Lawrence County Shop with a Cop and Russell FOP Lodge in Greenup County Shop with a Cop.

To Help us raise money for this great cause we host a Toys for Jakes Golf Scramble at River Bend Golf Course.
